Honey and Thyme Margarita

This is a delightful little drink option if you are a fan of tequila. I love using my fresh herbs from the garden and thyme is one that is not only easy to grow, but deliciously versatile. Pair it with some fresh local honey, a splash of lime and hint of grapefruit and you have a winning combination.

Honey and Thyme Margarita

Serves: 1 Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Ingredients

1. 1.5 oz of Silver Tequila 
2. .5 oz Contreau 
3. .5 oz of Grapefruit
4. .5 oz of Lime juice 
5. .25 oz Thyme infused simple syrup. 

Salt, Lime zest, and fresh thyme leaves for margarita glass rim and thyme sprig and lime wedge for garnish.

Instructions

1. Rim the glass with salt mixture. 
2. Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Add all of the ingredients to the shaker and shake for 1 minute. 
3. Strain into a margarita glass. 
4. Add the thyme sprig and lime wedge and serve.
