The secret to any great pie is not only a delicious filling, but also a Light and Flaky Pie Crust.
This recipe uses 4 simple ingredients and a stand mixer. It comes together quickly, is easy to freeze, and is fail safe. It won’t let you down. This much I can promise.
Add the butter and mix with a paddle mixer for 3 minutes on low speed. The mix should end up crumbly with a pea sized pieces of butter throughout.
Add the ice water all at once and mix just until the dough comes together and pulls from the side of the bowl.
Remove from bowl, and divide in half. Cover in plastic wrap and chill for an hour before using.
If you want to freeze this, roll it out to desired size and then place a piece of parchment on top. Roll up with the parchment and place in a freezer bag. Will store for 2 months.
